As Christians, our highest calling is to love. God calls us to love Him above all else& love our neighbors like we love ourselves. Many people think that when the Bible says “love your neighbor” it means we are supposed to love our family, friends, acquaintances& maybe a few strangers along the way. However, the call to love stretches far beyond our inner circle. We are not exempt from loving anyone, not even our enemies.

How can God insist that we love a family member who is insensitive& rude towards us, or our mother in-law who we can never seem to be good enough for? How can we be expected to love those people who are so unloving to us?

In Matthew 5, Jesus teaches us that we are to love everyone, even our enemies.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven” Matthew 5:43-45.

It’s clear that Jesus calls us to be counter-cultural by loving our enemies, but why should we?

We are children of God.

We should love our enemies because God commands, and anything God commands us to do is for our benefit. More than that, we should love our enemies because it is one of the trademarks of being a son or daughter of God. The words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44-45,

“But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven.”

As children of God, loving our neighbors isn’t optional. God expects us to love our enemies if we call ourselves His children. We should strive to produce the fruit of showing love to our enemies. If we deliberately ignore God’s command to love our enemies, we are in dire need of a spiritual self evaluation.

We sin against God.

“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me’” Matthew 25:40

All humankind is created in the image of God. Therefore, we can’t separate our love for God from our love for humankind. By loving our enemies we show love to God. Likewise, when we despise our enemies we also despise God because He made everyone in His image, even our enemies.

No excuses.

We have no excuse not to love our enemy. Often, when we read passages of scripture that command us to love our enemies we come up with a ton of excuses to absolve us of our responsibility. We think that if we don’t feel loved by someone then we don’t have to show love to them. This lie couldn’t be farther from the truth.

We have no excuse not to love everyone, including those who grind our gears, or even those who persecute us. We have no excuse because any level of love that God calls us to display to another human being, has already been extended to us by God more deeply than we can hope to understand.

God loved us first before we even knew who he was. He didn’t wait for us to start loving him, he took the initiative.

Paul, in Romans 5:10 explains the depth of God’s love for us before we even knew him,

“While we were enemies of God, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His son.” Romans 5:10

While we were still enemies of God, out of His love for us. He sent His Son to die on the cross and reconcile us to Him. Therefore, if we are to be like Christ as the Bible commands us, we can’t sit around waiting for our enemies to love us, we have to love them first because that’s exactly what God did for us. God has extended this undeserved love to us and expects us to do the same to our enemies.

Taking vengeance on those who wrong us is glorified in our culture. We are taught to hate those who hate us. As Christians, loving our enemies, serves as one of the most powerful witnessing tools. God calls us to be the light, to stand out in the crowd. What better way to do so then to do something so utterly unheard of and counter-cultural like loving our enemies? Displaying this Christ like love in today’s hate filled world will force people to take notice and wonder who or what could compel us to love our enemies.

It’s not an easy road.

Simply knowing why we should love your enemies doesn’t means it’s easy to accomplish.(it can be incredibly hard for certain few people.)It can seem impossible to overcome your feelings of animosity that harden your heart. However, it is possible with God. Admit to God that you struggle to love your enemies. He already knows anyway. Take the first step and admit your weakness& ask God to help you understand how to love your enemies& ask him to fulfill the call in your heart.

Next time you’re faced with the choice to love your enemy, ask yourself what you would say or do if that person was your best friend in the whole world and do it.

Even though every cell in your body tells you to hate your enemy, if you respond to them like you would respond to someone you love, amazing transformation can take place.

Have you ever been in a storm – not a real life thunderstorm, but the ones that bring temptation to shake your soul?

A call from the doctor, loss of a job, a miscarriage, an unforeseen circumstance that tries to creep in& tell you that the storm you’re facing is bigger than the God you serve?

 God has called us to thrive in the middle of waters we don’t understand. He has called us to not just SURVIVE, but to THRIVE in the midst of these storms. How? Through HIS peace. I love this translation of a common verse, Matthew 11:28-30 from the The Passion Translation (TPT)

“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.”

Often times when Jesus is speaking to us, or his disciples he says to, “FOLLOW Me.” This is one of the only passages where Jesus says to COME TO HIM. Because HE is the source of Peace. He doesn’t say FOLLOW, He says COME… 

“I AM YOUR PEACE”.

I AM YOUR SUSTAINING JOY!

Peace is not a feeling, or a place, it’s a promise through a Person, and His name is JESUS! 

The truth is, in every storm or unexpected circumstance, we are given a choice. A choice to choose peace that only Christ can give to our weary, needy souls. If you are in need of that peace today, say this prayer out loud with me💕

Dear God,

 Thank you that YOU are my source of peace. That even in the unknown, you go before me, prepare a place for me& never leave my side. You call the storms around me to still, as I abide in you& your word. Thank you for the gift of unwavering peace that Your Son died to give to me. Because of Your love, I’m able to face the unknown with a promise that you will never leave or forsaken me. A promise that as I join my life with yours, your peace rushes in louder that the noise around me in my everyday life. Thank you that you are my ultimate source of peace& in you, and only you, I can find refreshment& rest when I lay my worries at your feet. Thank you for being my Lord and Savior, in Jesus Name, Amen.💖

I hope this prayer helps you brave through any tribulations or storms that you might be facing today. Remember to brave through the storms! God has callin you to peace! Fight through the hard stuff& rejoice in the peace that God has for you!💗💗

Hey guys! Today’s blog is for them hungry, teething babies!👶💗💙 My son is 1 and he has 10 teeth now, and let me tell you, the teething has gotten worse& worse.

His teeth broke in so fast that he is constantly teething& has to have something the entire day for his teething& after a certain point the freezer teethers& pacifiers weren’t really helping him anymore.. I had to think fast of ideas that I could do that could satisfy his severe teething.

I’m on 5 different mommy groups online& they gave me some of the best ideas ever!💖 They gave me so many ideas that I had no clue about, so I’m so grateful for my friends in my mommy groups for helping& encouraging me because sometimes it can get pretty chaotic with a picky teething baby.

I actually think its extremely important to make sure my son Wyatt gets his fruits& veggies in everyday. I know a lot of moms give their babies ice cream, cake& fatty foods for satisfying desserts but in my personal opinion giving my son fruit& protein is his snack.

In 1 Corinthians 10:31 it says, “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.“

So I make sure to always feed Wyatt healthy, nutritional meals that make him healthy and strong& will glorify God!👶💙🥑🥦🍉

Every mom is different but I’m a bit old school I guess lol.

Anyways, the first idea I got from my mommy friends was making homemade popsicles with baby fruit& veggies sauce!🍌🍎🥕(just like apple sauce)

I have tons of popsicle sticks& holders so this idea was easy& super delicious for Wyatt!🍌🙌🥕

All I had to do was pour whatever flavored fruit& veggie sauce into the popsicle molds, stick them in the freezer for AT LEAST 2-3 hours.(I wait about 2.5 hours just to make sure it’s all frozen completely) trust me you don’t want a runny popsicle in your babies hands. lol🍌🍎🥦🌽

Second idea that’s the most genius to me by far is freezing jello in Wyatt’s food feeder!🙌🙌

It’s so simple to do& my son absolutely LOVES THIS.💙👶🙌

All you do is make your jello (I use strawberry sense that seems to be his favorite flavor)🍓 pour it in your baby feeder, and freeze it for a couple hours!🙌💓

The texture of the jello and the taste if it will definitely satisfy your babies teething& taste buds!👶🙌💕

Next idea is freezing your babies food in tiny pieces to help your babies out with teething& possibly tricking them into eating veggies that they may not like!

I love this idea! All you do is put your baby food in a ziploc bag(I mix the couple veggies that Wyatt doesn’t like with the fruit and he eats it everytime!!)🙌💙 cut a hole in the bottom of the ziploc bag, and squeeze small pieces of the baby food on a pan!💕🙌

You freeze them until they are fully frozen(different baby foods differ the freezing time) and they melt in your baby’s mouth!💗💗 no more hard feedings!🙌🥰

The last idea I have is making small pancakes with your baby’s infant cereal or oatmeal!

It’s so easy, its just like making regular pancakes!🥞(but healthier)😉

How I cook mine for wyatt, I mix one egg, infant cereal or oatmeal& one ripe banana!🙌🍌🥞

It’s so delicious to wyatt& it’s healthy pancakes!(can’t get better than that!) It’s amazing the things I’ve learned that I can feed my son that is delicious& nutritional to his body!🙌👶💙

I hope you guys like the ideas that I’ve learned& try a couple of them yourself!💓

I’m so glad I joined mommy groups because I honestly don’t have a lot of mommy friends(which I would love to have more of) but joining these pages have helped me through my new mama journey& I can talk to mothers that understand!❤🙌🙌

Hey guys! Today’s blog is about how my little family bought& made our Halloween decor and spent only a fraction of what we thought we were going to originally spend!🙌

Me and my husband set out a budget for 85$ that we could spend on Halloween decor,spider webs, etc.

Well, we had to stop by the dollar store for some batteries and ended up walking out with soo much halloween stuff at such a small price!!

I have a lot of diy hacks& ideas so bare with me!🧡🧡🙌 lol

In the pictures below are over half the things that we bought from the dollar store(the other few things are already hung up!)🖤🕸

Our original budget was 85$ and we ended up spending 20$!! (Yay!!)I literally never realized that you could go to your local dollar store or grocery store& get all the same things you would find online or at party city and the prices are 3x what the dollar store was!🧡🙌🎃

We made my own glow in the dark spooky Mason jars!(ofcourse the pink ones are mine!haha) using only 3 things!!

1. Cotton balls!
2. Dollar store bugs🕷🦗
3. Glow sticks!💚🧪

The next thing we made was bloody candles!🕯❤🥰 INCREDIBLY easy and fun to do! And they legit look like bloody candles too! My friend gave me this idea so we definitely had to give it a try!🕯🙌It was only 2$ to make this!!❤🙌 All you have to do is melt the crayon over the white candle until you feel your candle is “bloody enough”😋🕯🖍 (I used my blow dryer so it’s a lot less messy& gets the job done!)

Next thing we made is what we call “the soaking skeleton” lol💀🛁 it only cost 10$ to make& it came out looking soo cool and funny!🥰💀🖤(We used our own bucket/container that’s why it wasnt added!)It was SUPER simple, all we did was set the skeleton in the bucket,(in laying position) Dillon filled the bucket with cotton balls to the top, then we just sat the different sized clear balls on the cotton to make it look like bubbles! That’s it!❤🙌 (you can hot glue the clear balls to the cotton to ensure they won’t fall off) Affordable& awesome!💀🖤👻

Next decoration (it was my husband’s awesome idea!)💡🙌 is a skull head table decor using 3 things!🖤💀

1. Orange& black gift shredding paper
2. Skull heads💀
3. Led lights

The last idea is the haunted house kit we bought online (I honestly forgot which store but they sell everywhere online!) Me, Dillon& Wyatt had a absolute blast making this together!!(it was my favorite thing to do as a family)💕It took a couple of hours to have it all together but it’s perfect for family time💕🙌 It’s super fun to do as a family& it looks so pretty& spooky in the end!🖤

I have a lot more ideas but then I would be blogging all day lol!💗 I hope you guys like our little diy crafts we made, we spent so much quality time together by doing these fun,spooky crafts together as a family🧡

Omg to say the LEAST, we had a awesome time at the pumpkin patch! I’ve been talking everyone’s ears off on my husbands side about being so excited to go to the pumpkin patch this year sense last year we couldn’t!🧡👪🙌

Last year, I just had Wyatt, and it was pretty hard to get around or walk around the time of Halloween last year. (He was a preemie baby❤ he decided to come into this world a whole month early!)💙👶

It was pretty hilarious today because half of the time that we were at the pumpkin patch, Wyatt was passed out Hahaha. His daddy held him& he just took a nice nap in his arms lol💕👶

We saw soo many cool pumpkins, that I didn’t realize how many different looking pumpkins that there were!🎃

We let Wyatt stand on his own near the big pumpkins (when he woke up) and he smiled,clapped& laughed at the huge pumpkins!(He’s such a sweet boy)👶🧡

We even let him pick which baby pumpkin that he wanted& he actually did!! We sat him in front if all of the baby pumpkins and he stood up, took two steps to his favorite one, smiled at it for a few seconds, then tried to pick up the pumpkin😂 we knew then that was his favorite, special little pumpkin haha👶🧡🎃

There were a lot of beautiful photo props& areas to take amazing family pictures!👪🧡Me& Dillon picked out a HUGE pumpkin together for the both of us!(paid 25$ for it🤦‍♀️ lol) I could barely pick the pumpkin up& at that point I thought Wyatt was lightweight for once Hahaha🤣

I think my favorite part of the pumpkin patch was that the church that hosted the whole gorgeous event, set up a table with tags& pens and it said to write your prayer then stick it on the wall(which I did) and I really hope what I prayed for gets resolved eventually or to find peace in the situation❤

I loved every second of the pumpkin patch& spending it with my amazing family🙌👪🧡

It’s little moments like this that make me enjoy life& be so happy to have my life with my special boys💙 Life is amazing!❤❤
