Mommy food hacks for teething babies!πŸ‘ΆπŸ’•

Hey guys! Today’s blog is for them hungry, teething babies!πŸ‘ΆπŸ’—πŸ’™ My son is 1 and he has 10 teeth now, and let me tell you, the teething has gotten worse& worse.

His teeth broke in so fast that he is constantly teething& has to have something the entire day for his teething& after a certain point the freezer teethers& pacifiers weren’t really helping him anymore.. I had to think fast of ideas that I could do that could satisfy his severe teething.

I’m on 5 different mommy groups online& they gave me some of the best ideas ever!πŸ’– They gave me so many ideas that I had no clue about, so I’m so grateful for my friends in my mommy groups for helping& encouraging me because sometimes it can get pretty chaotic with a picky teething baby.

I actually think its extremely important to make sure my son Wyatt gets his fruits& veggies in everyday. I know a lot of moms give their babies ice cream, cake& fatty foods for satisfying desserts but in my personal opinion giving my son fruit& protein is his snack.

In 1 Corinthians 10:31 it says, “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

So I make sure to always feed Wyatt healthy, nutritional meals that make him healthy and strong& will glorify God!πŸ‘ΆπŸ’™πŸ₯‘πŸ₯¦πŸ‰

Every mom is different but I’m a bit old school I guess lol.

Anyways, the first idea I got from my mommy friends was making homemade popsicles with baby fruit& veggies sauce!🍌🍎πŸ₯•(just like apple sauce)

I have tons of popsicle sticks& holders so this idea was easy& super delicious for Wyatt!πŸŒπŸ™ŒπŸ₯•

All I had to do was pour whatever flavored fruit& veggie sauce into the popsicle molds, stick them in the freezer for AT LEAST 2-3 hours.(I wait about 2.5 hours just to make sure it’s all frozen completely) trust me you don’t want a runny popsicle in your babies hands. lol🍌🍎πŸ₯¦πŸŒ½

Second idea that’s the most genius to me by far is freezing jello in Wyatt’s food feeder!πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

It’s so simple to do& my son absolutely LOVES THIS.πŸ’™πŸ‘ΆπŸ™Œ

All you do is make your jello (I use strawberry sense that seems to be his favorite flavor)πŸ“ pour it in your baby feeder, and freeze it for a couple hours!πŸ™ŒπŸ’“

The texture of the jello and the taste if it will definitely satisfy your babies teething& taste buds!πŸ‘ΆπŸ™ŒπŸ’•

Next idea is freezing your babies food in tiny pieces to help your babies out with teething& possibly tricking them into eating veggies that they may not like!

I love this idea! All you do is put your baby food in a ziploc bag(I mix the couple veggies that Wyatt doesn’t like with the fruit and he eats it everytime!!)πŸ™ŒπŸ’™ cut a hole in the bottom of the ziploc bag, and squeeze small pieces of the baby food on a pan!πŸ’•πŸ™Œ

You freeze them until they are fully frozen(different baby foods differ the freezing time) and they melt in your baby’s mouth!πŸ’—πŸ’— no more hard feedings!πŸ™ŒπŸ₯°

The last idea I have is making small pancakes with your baby’s infant cereal or oatmeal!

It’s so easy, its just like making regular pancakes!πŸ₯ž(but healthier)πŸ˜‰

How I cook mine for wyatt, I mix one egg, infant cereal or oatmeal& one ripe banana!πŸ™ŒπŸŒπŸ₯ž

It’s so delicious to wyatt& it’s healthy pancakes!(can’t get better than that!) It’s amazing the things I’ve learned that I can feed my son that is delicious& nutritional to his body!πŸ™ŒπŸ‘ΆπŸ’™

I hope you guys like the ideas that I’ve learned& try a couple of them yourself!πŸ’“

I’m so glad I joined mommy groups because I honestly don’t have a lot of mommy friends(which I would love to have more of) but joining these pages have helped me through my new mama journey& I can talk to mothers that understand!β€πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

That’s all I have for now, y’all have a blessed day& weekπŸ™ŒπŸ’•

The Eastman’s DIY halloween craft hacks!πŸ•ΈπŸ‘»πŸŽƒ

Hey guys! Today’s blog is about how my little family bought& made our Halloween decor and spent only a fraction of what we thought we were going to originally spend!πŸ™Œ

Me and my husband set out a budget for 85$ that we could spend on Halloween decor, spider webs, etc.

Well, we had to stop by the dollar store for some batteries and ended up walking out with soo much halloween stuff at such a small price!!

I have a lot of diy hacks& ideas so bare with me!πŸ§‘πŸ§‘πŸ™Œ lol

In the pictures below are over half the things that we bought from the dollar store(the other few things are already hung up!)πŸ–€πŸ•Έ

Halloween Stickers- 1$
Glow in the dark spiders- 1$
Jack o lantern glow sticks- 1$
Black cat light up lantern- 1$
Glow in the dark sticky eyes- 1$
Hanging color changing ghost- 3$
Led tea lights- 1$
Spooky mirror stickers- 1$
R.I.P decor- 50 cents
Stuffed ghost- 1$
Skull heads- 1$
Hanging ghost- 2.50$
Light up jack o latern- 3$
Color changing ghost!- 3$ went back and bought another because the colors are beautiful& the price is unbeatable!πŸ‘»πŸ–€(changes to colors of the rainbow!) You can hang them outside or inside! (I prefer inside because the colors show a lot better!)

Our original budget was 85$ and we ended up spending 20$!! (Yay!!)I literally never realized that you could go to your local dollar store or grocery store& get all the same things you would find online or at party city and the prices are 3x what the dollar store was!πŸ§‘πŸ™ŒπŸŽƒ

We made my own glow in the dark spooky Mason jars!(ofcourse the pink ones are mine!haha) using only 3 things!!

  1. Cotton balls!
  2. Dollar store bugsπŸ•·πŸ¦—
  3. Glow sticks!πŸ’šπŸ§ͺ
Need: Mason jar- 1$ Dollar store bugs- 1$πŸ•·πŸ¦— Cotton balls- 1$ Glow sticks!- 1$ (I would put cotton balls in first, section out your bugs and face them outwards, then put glow stick in the middle and there you go!πŸ™ŒπŸ•·πŸ•ΈπŸ’—

The next thing we made was bloody candles!πŸ•―β€πŸ₯° INCREDIBLY easy and fun to do! And they legit look like bloody candles too! My friend gave me this idea so we definitely had to give it a try!πŸ•―πŸ™ŒIt was only 2$ to make this!!β€πŸ™Œ All you have to do is melt the crayon over the white candle until you feel your candle is “bloody enough”πŸ˜‹πŸ•―πŸ– (I used my blow dryer so it’s a lot less messy& gets the job done!)

Dollar store white candles- 1$ for big ones 50 cents for the small ones!πŸ•―πŸ•― Red crayon- 1$ if you dont already have crayons!β€πŸ–

Next thing we made is what we call “the soaking skeleton” lolπŸ’€πŸ› it only cost 10$ to make& it came out looking soo cool and funny!πŸ₯°πŸ’€πŸ–€(We used our own bucket/container that’s why it wasnt added!)It was SUPER simple, all we did was set the skeleton in the bucket,(in laying position) Dillon filled the bucket with cotton balls to the top, then we just sat the different sized clear balls on the cotton to make it look like bubbles! That’s it!β€πŸ™Œ (you can hot glue the clear balls to the cotton to ensure they won’t fall off) Affordable& awesome!πŸ’€πŸ–€πŸ‘»

Skeleton- 6$πŸ’€ plastic clear balls- 2.50 for them all cotton balls- 1$

Next decoration (it was my husband’s awesome idea!)πŸ’‘πŸ™Œ is a skull head table decor using 3 things!πŸ–€πŸ’€

  1. Orange& black gift shredding paper
  2. Skull headsπŸ’€
  3. Led lights
Skull heads- 1$
Orange& black gift shredding paper-1.50$
Small led string lights-2$
(You can also add spiders to it like we did if you want a more spooky effect!)πŸ•·πŸ•Έ

The last idea is the haunted house kit we bought online (I honestly forgot which store but they sell everywhere online!) Me, Dillon& Wyatt had a absolute blast making this together!!(it was my favorite thing to do as a family)πŸ’•It took a couple of hours to have it all together but it’s perfect for family timeπŸ’•πŸ™Œ It’s super fun to do as a family& it looks so pretty& spooky in the end!πŸ–€

Haunted house kit– 15$(including shipping!)πŸ’—πŸ’šπŸ•ΈπŸŽƒπŸ’€πŸ‘»

I have a lot more ideas but then I would be blogging all day lol!πŸ’— I hope you guys like our little diy crafts we made, we spent so much quality time together by doing these fun, spooky crafts together as a family🧑

(I’m so blessed to have my two special boys in my life!)πŸ’™

The Eastman’s time at the pumpkin patchπŸŽƒπŸπŸ§‘

Omg to say the LEAST, we had a awesome time at the pumpkin patch! I’ve been talking everyone’s ears off on my husbands side about being so excited to go to the pumpkin patch this year sense last year we couldn’t!🧑πŸ‘ͺπŸ™Œ

Last year, I just had Wyatt, and it was pretty hard to get around or walk around the time of Halloween last year. (He was a preemie baby❀ he decided to come into this world a whole month early!)πŸ’™πŸ‘Ά

It was pretty hilarious today because half of the time that we were at the pumpkin patch, Wyatt was passed out Hahaha. His daddy held him& he just took a nice nap in his arms lolπŸ’•πŸ‘Ά

We saw soo many cool pumpkins, that I didn’t realize how many different looking pumpkins that there were!πŸŽƒ

We let Wyatt stand on his own near the big pumpkins (when he woke up) and he smiled, clapped& laughed at the huge pumpkins!(He’s such a sweet boy)πŸ‘ΆπŸ§‘

We even let him pick which baby pumpkin that he wanted& he actually did!! We sat him in front if all of the baby pumpkins and he stood up, took two steps to his favorite one, smiled at it for a few seconds, then tried to pick up the pumpkinπŸ˜‚ we knew then that was his favorite, special little pumpkin hahaπŸ‘ΆπŸ§‘πŸŽƒ

There were a lot of beautiful photo props& areas to take amazing family pictures!πŸ‘ͺ🧑Me& Dillon picked out a HUGE pumpkin together for the both of us!(paid 25$ for itπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ lol) I could barely pick the pumpkin up& at that point I thought Wyatt was lightweight for once Hahaha🀣

I think my favorite part of the pumpkin patch was that the church that hosted the whole gorgeous event, set up a table with tags& pens and it said to write your prayer then stick it on the wall(which I did) and I really hope what I prayed for gets resolved eventually or to find peace in the situation❀

I loved every second of the pumpkin patch& spending it with my amazing familyπŸ™ŒπŸ‘ͺ🧑

It’s little moments like this that make me enjoy life& be so happy to have my life with my special boysπŸ’™ Life is amazing!❀❀

We are truly blessedπŸ‘ͺπŸ™ŒπŸ’•

Life is truly blissful with my two special boysπŸ’•πŸ‘ͺ
“Mama, I want THIS pumpkin”πŸ‘ΆπŸŽƒπŸ§‘
At least me,ronnie and tommie are smiling lolπŸ₯°πŸ§‘πŸŽƒ
Look at that smile!πŸ’™πŸ‘ΆπŸ‘£

13 Reasons why NOT❀

I’m sure everyone knows the show “13 reasons why.” I actually love that show because I can relate to a lot of things that happened to the main character “Hannah baker.

It’s always been one of my favorite shows because I feel like it sends out a very important message about suicide being a real thing& mental illness as well.

Well Im using my favorite show to create my own post “13 Reasons why NOT.” This is for anyone struggling to find your purpose or just struggling to stay alive. You are loved, and I’m here for you alwaysπŸ’•πŸ’•

1. First reason, your are loved. (John 3:16) God loves you unconditionally. There is nothing that you can possibly do wrong, that will make God love you less. God’s love is is everlasting. If you ever think no one cares or no one loves you, God does. He always will. Pray to him and let God give you the love you’ve been aching for!πŸ’–

2. Second reason, you have a purpose. (Jeremiah 29:11) None of us were put here on “accident” or “by mistake“, God put us all here for our own unique, different, fruitful purposes. If you don’t know your purpose, then talk to God about it& let him open doors& opportunities to your true purpose πŸ™Œ

3. Third reason, you are given strength to preserve. (1 Corinthians 10:13) there is nothing that we can’t get through with God. God has given us the strength to preserve& to survive the things that we thought would kill us.You have the strength to get through any tribulations you find yourself in. Pray to Jesus for that strength& keep praying to keep that strength even on your worse days!❀

4. Fourth reason, you will be guided. (Psalm 32:8) We dont have to see, hear or touch to know that God is always guiding& watching over us. When you pray to God you can feel him& his peace when you are in tune with the word& God. Try not to talk as much to God, and try listening more for a chance. He will guide you to righteousnessπŸ™ŒπŸ’—

5. Fifth reason, you are not alone. (Deuteronomy 31:6) God will never desert you. God is always here for you when you make good or bad decisions. Trust in him that he never has and never will leave your side. Hes on YOUR SIDE.πŸ’“πŸ’“

6. Sixth reason, you were created by him& for his glory. (Isaiah 43:7) We were all created exactly how we are, for a purpose to live and praise God for the things we have. He created us for his glory! That has to mean we are super special to God!

7. Seventh reason, he will take away your worries. (1 peter 5:7) All of your worries, insecurities, doubt, rage, burdens etc. Can all be taken away us through Jesus Christ. All you have to do is pray, tell God your sins, worries& fears, then give it to God. As soon as you pray about it God is already working on it. Let him work on and in YOU. He will replace your worries with blessings!πŸ™ŒπŸ’œ

8. Eighth reason, he will comfort you. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) God will comfort us when times are tough& we feel like we can’t get through the day. Tell God your problems. Really. Tell him your problems like your talking to your bestie. He is listening and will give you the best advice out of ANYONE. Trust him& trust him with your problems!πŸ’™

9. Ninth reason, he will carry your burdens. (Psalm 55:22) You don’t have to wear these invisible shackles& anchors around your feet. Give God your heaviest burdens and let God carry these shackles for you. Pray for strength to preserve through it& allow God to carry what you know you cannot.πŸ™ŒπŸ’

10. Tenth reason, he will forgive you. Mark 11:25) God will always forgive you. It’s never too late to ask for forgiveness& to ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart. He will make a rainbow out of your storm’s. Ask for forgiveness!! He will always say YES!πŸ’—πŸ’—

11. Eleventh reason, he will give you hope. (Roman’s 15:15) when you think there is no way out or that there is no hope left, there IS! God is your hope& if you pray for it, he will give you the hope& patience that you need! Have hope and wait for God’s perfect timing!πŸ’–βœ¨

12. Twelfth reason, he will deliver. (Matthew 7:7) We as Christian’s have to believe that God will always deliver everything that he promised us like hope, faith, forgiveness, patience, understanding etc. Believe in God that he will always deliver. It isn’t in our time but on his PERFECT timing! Be patient! Be still!πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

13. The final reason, the thirteenth reason. He dwells in you. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17) God dwells in our minds and hearts. He dwells happiness, mercy, sympathy, hope etc in our souls. He is a permanent resident in our lives because he cares& loves us. LET GOD IN! He will make a loving, peaceful mark on your heart and mind!πŸ’—πŸ§

If your ever down, like you dont have a purpose in life or maybe everything in your life is going wrong right now, let God in. Read these 13 reasons why NOT to believe those ugly things that you feel about yourself.

Your ugly thoughts aren’t true. God is. With prayer& some quiet time with God he can help turn you& your life around into the life that has has always had built for you!πŸ’•πŸ™Œ

I felt very inspired by this message I wrote because it genuinely means a lot to me to be able to help out people who struggle with themselves or with the hard struggles of life. God really spoke to me during this blog, so I had to blog about this. It’s very touching to me.πŸ’–πŸ’–

I hope this helps anyone who’s going through terrible times or just struggling to stay alive. Have hope. Pray to Jesus. Hes your best friend for life. Let go and let God. Your not in this alone!πŸ’“πŸ’“

A reminder about FAITHπŸ’“

Faith is choosing to believe in what we cannot see. Faith is sometimes knowingly trusting in the unknown.

It is being strong when we face adversity, and having the courage when we face the inevitable. What we tend to see as a permanent condition, God sees a a temporary situation. What you perceive to be one of your greatest setbacks, God might have planned as an incredible setup for a marvelous miracle.

If you are encountering resistance in the pursuit of your hopes& dreams, then your most likely on the right track.

Guard your heart.❀ Find positivity in every situation. And stay true to yourself. The circumstances are well, just circumstantial- collateral damage in the real battle of keeping your confidence in God.

Our fear and doubt can create mountains, but our faith, no matter how small, can move them. We will struggle, and we will fall. We may feel incredibly lost& confused, or broken and empty.

But no matter how bad things get, even when everything is going wrong and nothing is as you’ve planned,You MUST HAVE FAITH! That is the true measure of our strength& will.

Stand up for who you are and what you believe in!πŸ’–πŸ™Œ

Because life is far too precious& far too short to walk a path God never intended for you.

Breaking free from worry

Hey guys! Rose back with a question for you ..Are you a worrier?I’ll be the first to admit, I’m prone to worry. In the past, I identified myself as a full-out worrier. But today, by the grace of God, that title no longer defines me. However, I still struggle.

When I find myself struggling, it’s with the unknowns and what if’s of the future. What if something happens to Wyatt? or What if something happens to my husband while he’s at work? I worry about things so far out of my control, that the fear of what could happen consumes my mind sometimes. In the midst of battling worry, I tried to remove all my concerns, but I quickly discovered that was unrealistic. I didn’t understand then that concern is not the same as worry. As this author shares:

β€œConcern focuses on a problem that needs our current attention and we can do something about.”

For example, we can do something about our concern for a neighbor in need, a friend who’s struggling or a situation our child is facing.Worry, on the other hand, is self-centered& can be harmful to our physical and mental health, bringing fearful thoughts that cause unnecessary stress and anxiety.Differentiating between concern and worry allows us to organize our thoughts. It’s okay to concern ourselves with issues in front of us needing our attention, it’s not okay to let fear of what we can’t control consume our thoughts with worry.

But God knows worry will happen, which is why He tells us to leave our worries with Him, trusting His sovereignty.

(Matthew 6:25-34 1 Peter 5:7) Maybe, like me, you know all that but still struggle with actually releasing worries over to Him. If so, you’re not alone!

Take a look at these steps I made to help us break free& love our lives again!❀

  1. Pray for God to take the fear and worries consuming you and replace them with His peace.
  2. Ask Him to align your thoughts and heart with His Word, so  you can trust Him in all things.
  3. Admit you can’t do it on our own and need His strength and power.

(If you need more reassurance, check out Isaiah 26:3 and Isaiah 41:10)

When we’re able to break free from the grip of worry, we can find freedom in trusting our unknowns to a God who does know& haseverything under control!πŸ’—πŸ’—

My new Christian-mama blog!πŸ™ŒπŸ’•

Hey guys! I decided that I wanted to start fresh with my blog page! I had my orginal site on wordpress but I felt like I was struggling to figure out what I wanted my blog to be about..

At first it was a blog page about my personal life& sharing very deep, spiritual thoughts. Then it changed into a family blog/personal blog, then I added Christian bible studies of my own, so truth be told i had NO idea where i was going with my blog.

So I’ve decided to make a new blog page, make a clearer image of what I wanted my page to be about, and making my blog about homemaking inΒ God’sΒ glory& sharing family memories inΒ God’sΒ glory!

It not only feels like the perfect idea but, it’s given me a calling& a purpose to use this tool as a way to shareΒ God’sΒ word, give mommy advice& share the love that me and my little family have for the lord!πŸ™ŒπŸ’•πŸ‘ͺ

I’m beyond excited to start my new chapter in my blogging world!πŸŒπŸ’–

I thank everyone who has always supported my blogging hobby!!πŸ’— And I thank anyone who joins me in my new path to homemaking in God’s glory!πŸ™ŒπŸ’“
